I recently moved back to my hometown after being away for over 30 years. I moved in with sister, who has thrown me out before. She threatens yet again to throw me out. I have no transportation; she does not allow me to use her car, nor does she allow anyone she knows, (her kids, neighbors), to let me use their automobiles. She says I have to find a way to get on my own two feet. The nearest bus stop is seven miles away. The nearest grocery store 2 miles. Taking a taxi to the malls cost about $25.00. This is not good when there is no money coming in. It's a country road with a low bridge and flying cars. Then a 6 lane highway for the next five miles to the bus stop. I was fit when I was in the army years ago, but living in NYC with normal transportation system has taken all that "gung-ho" out of me. I was online looking for grants, but wound up here. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can go about getting around down in the country?
